On les attendait au tournant et voilà qu’après des mois d’enregistrement aux Sauna Studios de Copenhague, les Marvins Revolt repointent le bout de leur nez ! Tout ça pour déposer la cerise Patrolling the heights sur le gâteau qu’était leur précédent album, Killec. Le groupe repart donc sur les mêmes bases, à savoir un rock vif et angulaire, mais ajoute ici une touche d’élégance en préservant la dynamique instrumentale et la singularité du chant. Les Danois s’aventurent aussi sur des territoires qu’ils n’avaient encore jamais foulés, oscillant entre passages corrosifs et envolées sophistiquées, portés par un songwriting, là aussi, plus abouti. Le producteur TJ Lipple, qui a notamment collaboré avec MGMT, Medication ou Aloha, apporte une étincelle supplémentaire aux neuf titres de Patrolling the heights scellant définitivement un album plein de maturité, d’énergie et de romantisme.

Patrolling the Heights is the eagerly awaited sophomore album from Marvins Revolt. Following 2007's Killec (released through Ireland's The Richter Collective) this new album was recorded in Copenhagen and produced by TJ Lipple of MGMT, Medication and Aloha fame. These nine new tracks revisit the angular rock that Marvins Revolt have become known for, adding a touch of elegance while preserving the qualities that made them so loveable: dynamic instrumentals and a singular singer. Patrolling the Heights is an album full of maturity, energy and romanticism.
