Après trois albums et une poignée de EPs, Johnny Foreigner est de retour avec Johnny Foreigner Vs Everything ! Le trio de Birmingham sublime la formule qui le caractérise alternant post punk fougueux et ballades pop sur les 17 titres composant ce nouvel opus. 
Les voix d’Alexei Berrow Berrow et Kelly Southern se croisent, se répondent et s’entrechoquent pour mieux se retrouver à l’unisson dans des refrains pleins de magie et de beauté pure. La batterie de Junior Elvis Washington quand à elle, nous entraîne dans une épilepsie collective marquant parfois le pas pour souligner ça et là des influences rognant vers les musiques électroniques et lo-fi. Fidèles aux murs de guitares baveux, aux phrasés rapides au bord de la suffocation et aux interludes à la beauté naïve et juvénile, Johhny Foreigner parvient plus que jamais affirmer son art et puiser dans l’essence même du rock indé, s’écartant ici des clichés made in UK. Avec ce nouvel album qui s’annonce dores et déjà comme la pièce majeure du groupe, Johnny Foreigner nous bouscule et distribue les claques, l'air de rien, en toute sincérité.
